Capo Transposer and Chart
Type the chord shapes you're playing and pick a capo fret. The transposer shows the chords they actually sound like.
How to use it
- Type your chord shapes, separated by spaces, e.g. G C D Em.
- Pick the fret your capo is on.
- Read the sounding chords and the key you're playing in.
Questions
- How does a capo change the key?
- Each fret raises the pitch by a half step. G shapes with a capo on fret 2 sound as A.
- Which chords does it understand?
- Standard chord names like G, Em, C7, Dsus4 or F#m7. Unknown chords are flagged so you can fix them.
Better on a bench
Learning a song? A bench keeps the capo transposer next to chord charts, a metronome and notes for the lyrics.
